Great friends, fantastic food and memorable times. The summer
sun is shining. Fast track forward and let's get painting and
transform your faded plastic patio furniture. Now's the time
to turn trash into treasure and discover the energy of beautiful
colour!
The typical round patio table you have – you know, the
one with the hole in the center for the umbrella - can be sanded,
painted with a bonder, primer, sealer and then sprayed or hand
painted with Krylon paint. Think about lush green garden ferns
as a decorative motif on the tabletop. How about funky stripes
in lime green, pink and navy blue on a cream background? Your
imagination can go wild! For extra zing, paint your patio chairs
individual colours of lime green, pink, navy blue and cream
to match the table pattern.
Something we did in our studio, using Peter's old plastic table
was the inspiration for a one of a kind whimsical piece of garden
furniture. We'll feature this project for you in next month's
edition of getpainting.com
