Step 1
Prime the entire table, including
legs with BIN Zinsser bonder primer sealer using a Dynamic
foam mini roller. |
 |
Step 2
Paint some (not all) areas of the
table and legs with Modern Masters crackle for latex paint.
This product will react with the next step and create
a crackle effect. |
 |
Step 3
Paint all of table surface and legs with latex eggshell
paint. We used a light lavender colour. It is important
that you apply the paint in a cross-hatch fashion using
a Dynamic paint brush so that the cracks will go in different
directions as opposed to only one way. |
|
Step 4
Using a Dynamic mohair mini roller,
apply paint through stencil. We used “Fern”
a Paint Wizard stencil by Dynamic DK100058 and a deep
forest green paint. |
 |
Step 5
Paint table trim edge. We
used the same colour used for the Fern stencil. |
 |
Step 6
Using a stencil brush, apply paint
through stencil. We used "Winged" a Paint Wizard stencil
by Dynamic (bees and butterflies) DK100070" and a dark
purple paint colour. |
|
Step 7 Make
a tinted glaze with Dynamic Paint Wizard Acrylic Glaze
and a dark chocolate brown paint colour. Apply to the
entire table and legs with a brush and gently wipe back
with a damp rag. Allow a heavier effect around the larger
ferns to create dimension. |
|
Step 8 Using
a stencil brush, highlight butterflies and bees. We used
“Lilac” a metallic paint by Modern Masters
ME247. |
 |
Step 9 Drill
holes at each table leg and each center point between
each table leg. Attach light wire and then attach festive
beads. |
 |
Step 10 Seal with Old Masters exterior oil varnish. |
