Dynamic Paint Products Inc. and the Environment

At Dynamic Paint Products Inc. we are constantly exploring and implementing
ideas that can make our full product offering and the ways we conduct business "greener". A cross functional “Environmental” Committee meets regularly to
assess suggestions that can come from any of our employees, customers, suppliers or stakeholders.

While recycling is becoming almost second nature, reducing our actual use is another priority. Take the saving of paper, for example: Our state-of-the- art warehouses in Mississauga, ON and Delta B.C. utilize paperless order picking. Invoicing from all carriers was converted from paper files to electronic summaries.

In a typical example, the monthly invoices from just one transportation company were reduced from over 200 pages to four – and they didn’t need to be mailed! All employees are actively encouraged to work with electronic reports on-line and to share documents using “SharePoint” technology.

Environmental concern has spurned us to reformulate or source alternatives to many of our vast product offering, including biologically-based cleaning, stripping and degreasing solutions. In fact, a number of innovative “greener” products are enjoying great success.. A sturdy paint tray – not just a tray liner – is made entirely of recycled P.E.T – from all of those soft drink and bottled water containers that end up in recycling bins. The Enviro Brush™ is a quality brush that can be used, cleaned (actually more efficiently), and re-used like most other paint brushes. However, once it comes time to replace it, its unique design allows the user to change only the bristle refill. Saving the handle will typically reduce the amount of waste by over 50%. For painters who are concerned about the environment the Enviro Brush is a definite step in the right direction.
